Hi, Daz here! Along with my wife Ness, we run Northern Sole Footwear — yes, the name comes from my love of music and my Northern UK roots.

Back in 2018, we were in Noosa for the Festival of Triathlon. One day, I was at the bar (as usual), while Ness wandered off to explore the event expo. She returned, arms full of shopping bags — also, as usual 😄.

I asked, “What have you bought this time?”
She replied, “Some runners, some shorts… oh, and these thongs called Archies.”
Can you guess the first words out of my mouth?
Like most blokes, I said, “What do you need another pair of thongs for?”

Anyway, long story short — she raved about them. And that’s when the lightbulb moment hit: "You could sell these at the Busselton Markets!" (We were living there at the time.)

So we got in touch with Archies and set up a stall — and it just grew from there. In 2022, Ness began making weekly trips to Fremantle Markets, and that’s when things really took off. Word spread fast — turns out, once people try Archies, there’s no going back.

We’ve since moved to Freo, and we now have WA’s largest collection of Archies Footwear in one location.

This year, we’ve added the fabulous Flip Flop Blings to the mix — little charms that give your Archies a whole new sparkle. We can’t wait for you to check them out and bling up your thongs!
